GWIMT (GIGABIT WAN INTERFACE MODULE)

The GWIMT functions as a Layer 3 Router which transmits/receives data to and from the external network. It provides (3) 10/100/1000 Base-T interfaces which may be configured as LAN or WAN to connect to Internal or External networks. It also has a V.35 serial port for connection to customer provided CSU/DSU requiring a cable which must be ordered separately as well as an HSSI port for T3 connections. Only one GWIMT per cabinet may be installed for a system total of 3 in the OfficeServ 7400 system. The GWIMT may be installed in any universal slot.
